Variables, loops, functions and files, then a real security script at the end.
Why Python?
Python reads almost like English and comes with tools for files, networking, hashing and randomness built in. It's the most popular language in security, data and automation.
Variables and input
name = input("What's your name? ")
age = int(input("How old are you? "))
print(f"Hi {name}, next year you'll be {age + 1}.")Decisions and loops
for n in range(1, 16):
if n % 15 == 0:
print("FizzBuzz")
elif n % 3 == 0:
print("Fizz")
elif n % 5 == 0:
print("Buzz")
else:

A function is a reusable block of code with a name. Give it inputs, get an output.
def is_strong(password):
return len(password) >= 14 and not password.isalpha()
print(is_strong("hello")) # False
print(is_strong("lamp-river-cactus-9")) # TrueYour first security script

counts[ip] += 1
